Welcome to Chen Style Tai Chi Academy which is located at the birthplace of Tai Chi – ChenJiaGou, China. We were specialized in teaching the most traditional Tai Chi and Chinese martial arts styles to students from all over the world. The academy provides high quality accommodation and warm meals, you will learn and evolve yourself during stay here whether you are an absolute beginner or a experienced practitioner of Tai Chi and Chinese martial arts.
Accommodation Rooms
All of our foreign students live in the living building with the private single room. Every room is equipped with single bed (or separate double beds), the independent bathroom, air-conditioner, hot water, free internet access (or WIFI), wardrobes and basic supporting facilities.
Due to cultural and customary differences, we don’t arrange roommates for international students. If you are 2 (or more than 2) people coming together, you can choose to live in a hotel-style shared double room (with 2 separate beds) and the cost will be cheaper.
Please Note: The school is a martial arts/Tai Chi training academy, not a commercial hotel. We only provide basic living necessities (training, accommodation, and three meals a day) for students; we do not offer hotel-related services.
Washing Facilities
The academy provides free washing machines for students to do their laundry. Clothes can be dried on the drying racks and standing bars in the school yard.
Nutrition & Meals
Our full room and board service includes 3 warm meals a day (eat with our masters and Chinese students). This goes throughout seven days a week and included in your tuition fee. The dishes vary every day and there are 3-4 different dishes a day which consists of rice or noodles and a a selection of vegetables, meat and/or eggs. Of course you can feel free to skip a meal; many students enjoy eating out during the weekends.
Students wishing to have more vitamins and protein in their diet can buy fruit, eggs or fried meat/jerky in the supermarket at academy or in ZhaoBao Town (or Wen Country) to supplement and/or get help from the school to order protein powder and other nutritional supplements.
Vegetarians, Allergies and other dietary requirements will be considered as well just inform the academy before your arrival.
Water
It is not recommended to drink tap water directly in China, unless you boil it first. The academy provides a water heater, you can get free drinking hot water. Also you can purchase small bottles of drinkable pure water (about $0.2 USD/600ml) and big bottles of drinkable pure water (about $1.5 USD/5L) from the supermarket.
